
The spiritual science of Yoga is one of harmony, or synthesis of intellect, heart, mind, body and spirit. It is this philosophy which underpins our work.
Mahashakti Yoga classes follow a dynamic and flowing style of traditional Hatha Yoga influenced in parts by the Sivananda, Ashtanga and Iyengar styles of Yoga. Classes include meditation and breathing techniques with the emphasis on creating balance and stillness in the body and mind.
We also teach YIN yoga which targets the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin postures are held three to five to ten minutes at a time. This type of practice complements the more muscular styles of Yoga and is a great aid for learning to sit in meditation.

Teachers Jude and Graeme are both qualified to teach Yoga by Yoga Alliance UK (Union Yoga) and Jude also has a teaching diploma from theInternational Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres. They are blessed to be able to work and study with some of the world's leading teachers and practitioners of yoga.
