Following the success of  the 2011 holiday we are running two week long Yoga holidays to the beautiful Shanti Centre in the Abruzzo region of Italy in 2012 .

Shanti centre is a Yoga retreat run by Stephanie and Rupert, who have put heart and soul into creating the most beautiful and relaxing space for yogis and teachers.

The price per person will be £540 for the week.  The cost is inclusive of accommodation in shared rooms, with towels, linen and bathrobes, all of our meals ( except one evening meal when we go out for a pizza) two yoga classes per day (one with Jude and one with  Graeme) a daily optional workshop – this year we did Headstands – plus other yoga activities. The centre also provides two free trips, one to beautiful the local town of Atri and one to the beach.In June/July it is verywarm and sunny. The evening yoga class usually takes place on the terrace.  I addition you can pay for a fantastic swedish or deep tissue massage from Stephanie or a one to one intensive Yoga session with Jude or Graeme.

The centre is set in a peaceful valley in a strategic location near to seaside, mountains and hilltop towns. The house has been recently restored and boasts large, comfortable rooms. The bedrooms are bright, spacious and beautifully decorated. Guests also have the use of a lounge complete with board games and books. The standard course price is based on 2 people sharing a bedroom. Bathrooms are shared. There are two main spaces for yoga – the beautiful terrace overlooking the Conicella valley and a stunning yoga room for those days when it is too hot to do yoga outside. There are about 2 acres of land – ample space for wandering around and relaxing – with plenty of areas for both sun and shade seekers! There is a swimming pool, sauna, wooden decking terrace  a solar powered hot tub for starlit bathing late at night. When you’re not practsing Yoga, we recommend dozing in one of the hammocks or cooling off in the pool.

The food is wholesome, vegetarian and utterly delicious.

The closest airport is Pescara  where you can fly direct from Stansted. From the West of Scotland  you can fly to  Rome and hire a car or take the bus.
